Zero tolerance for violence against women and girls

We are the Timorese and we are standing up for Women’s Rights!

Campaign

Show us your support by painting your finger orange and joining the movement that will change all of our lives

This movement for gender equality is inspired by Timor-Leste’s history of war and resilience. The symbol of the cause is the orange index finger, an allusion to the Timorese voting method.

The movement will last for 16 days, and various activities will be carried out to draw attention to the problem and the need for change, including the release of a video made in the country, the display on newspapers of testimonials from survivors of gender-based violence and agents of change, the distribution of billboards and mupis on the streets of Dili and a Microlete roadshow asking everyone to join our cause, among other initiatives, will finalize with a march.
